BlizzCon is the annual convention held by games company Blizzard Entertainment, whose franchises include World of Warcraft, Diablo, Hearthstone and Overwatch.
It’s been going since 2005, and music often plays a role in the convention. This year, that role goes to K-Pop group Le Sserafim, who’ll be playing the main stage at the Anaheim Convention Center to close the event in the US.
It’s actually a return to BlizzCon for the group, who previously played in 2023 – a performance that’s been watched more than 2m times on YouTube.
Historically, rock artists have been at the fore of BlizzCon bookings with the likes of Metallica (twice), Muse, Foo Fighters, Linkin Park and even Ozzy Osbourne having played it.
Le Sserafim’s relationship with Blizzard goes beyond live performances though. In 2023 the group also premiered a new music video in Overwatch 2, and were the focus for a dedicated game mode and virtual items that November.
BlizzCon 2026 takes place in September, so we suspect there may be some more in-game activations announced nearer the time.
