There is a change at the top of electronic-music brand Beatport, with its CEO Rob McDaniels [pictured] revealing he will step down on 1 July after nine years leading the company.
McDaniels will be taking a role as executive chairman of Beatport’s board of directors, in a managed transition that involves promotions from within.
Current president and chief financial officer Matt Gralen will be Beatport’s new CEO, while current chief revenue officer Helen Sartory will become president and chief operating officer.
McDaniels joined the company in 2017, picking up the pieces when its former parent company SFX Entertainment went bankrupt. In its announcement, Beatport noted that its revenues have more than quadrupled since then, with the company now serving “over one million unique customers annually”.
In an interview with Billboard about the changes, McDaniels also said that in 2026 “the company’s going to have its best year ever financially”.
