Latin America is an exciting region right now, and not just because of the stars and scenes breaking out with global success.
There is a lot going on there around music-tech startups, particularly those focusing on artist tools and marketing platforms. The latest announcement comes from startup SongTools and music-monitoring firm MonitorLatino.
They are teaming up for a platform called DigitalLatino that will include digital charts for Latin music; a promotional network of more than 150k playlists; and automated social ad campaigns using SongTools’ SongFly tool.
“Our mission is clear: to put Latin talent in the place they deserve, with tools at the level of their creativity,” said Felix Garcia, who is VP of the new platform.
“This will be a first for the region, and a brand new day for Latin artists,” added SongTools co-founder and head of business development Gonzalo Mahou.
