Now Live Nation has put some figures on that, announcing that the Puerto Rican superstar has sold more than 2.6m tickets for his ‘Debà Tirar Más Fotos World Tour’ so far.
This is for 54 stadium gigs in 18 countries being visited by the tour after it kicks off in November, with tickets yet to go on sale for two more dates in the Dominican Republic and Japan.
Live Nation said that more than 10m fans entered online-sales queues to try to buy tickets for the other shows, and announced a blizzard of other milestones set by the tour.
Most tickets sold by a Latin artist in France, Italy and the UK; a record 3.7m fans queuing on Ticketmaster in Mexico; and more than 600k tickets sold in Spain alone for his 12-night run there are some of the main milestones.
