AEG Europe runs the BST Hyde Park concerts in London every summer, with headliners this year including SZA, Morgan Wallen, Robbie Williams, Shania Twain, Kylie Minogue and Stray Kids.

This morning the company has announced details of its green initiatives around the concerts, describing them as “the company’s most sustainable festival yet”.

That includes funding carbon removals; highlighting the most environmentally-friendly food across all menus offered at the concerts; using 100% compostable serveware and reusable cups across the site; and using biodiesel generators and batteries for power.

AEG is also working with sustainability firm Lowr to analyse fans’ journeys to the concerts to analyse the carbon impact: data that will be used in future years to take measures to reduce that impact too.

This all follows on from AEG Europe’s first ‘carbon-removed’ concerts at London’s O2 Arena earlier this year, featuring The 1975.
