Folk-fusion band Yugm and Indian classical-fusion duo Harshad and Duhita Golesar are the first acts to sign with TSC Artists, a new platform launched by Indian record label The Shakti Collective to “help independent artists build meaningful audiences, sustainable creative careers, and long-term cultural impact”.
They’re not being managed by TSC Artists, says The Shakti Collective co-founder and curator Rohit Sobti but partnering with the platform “to help them unfold their fullest potential” across “discovery, creation, live experiences, intellectual property development, and monetisation”.
This will include curating and producing their music, making videos for their tracks and “whatever is required to take them to the next level”, Sobti told Music Ally. Unlike a management team, TSC won’t be scouting deals for the artists, but will take a cut of the revenue they generate in collaboration with the company.
Hindi pop singer-songwriter Prateeksha Srivastava, on the other hand, has signed a more traditional record deal with Warner Music India. The agreement will see her put out a series of singles exclusively with the label through which she most recently released the track ‘Sajna Ve’.
Punjabi pop star Sunanda Sharma, meanwhile, has tied up with the Virgin Music Group for worldwide distribution. Made with the “aim to take her music to audiences across every major market globally”, their partnership covers Sharma’s releases as a solo artist, starting with her May 2026 single ‘Jogi’.
