Epidemic Sound’s latest artist partnerships are with Honey Dijon, Switch out of Major Lazer and South Korean star Jeonghyeon. The trio are on board for the company’s new ‘Extra Version’ remix series, which launched this week. The three artists have remixed tracks from existing Epidemic Sound artists with the aim of giving them a boost in usage on YouTube and TikTok, as well as streaming services.
Dijon’s take on a track called ‘Umbélé’ is first to launch, with a new remix set to drop every month from now on. Epidemic CEO Oscar Höglund described the initiative as “a new model that connects the world’s most influential artists with beloved content creators”. His company has previously partnered with established artists for mentorship (Johnny Marr, Richie Hawtin) and original tracks (Jordin Sparks) so this is the next phase for those kinds of relationships.
