impala diversity report

European independent-music body Impala has published its latest equity, diversity and inclusion [EDI] report.

It’s the fourth such publication, reporting on progress for Impala’s indie members, including case studies from companies including !K7, Zebralution and Epitaph. The report also provides an update on Impala’s plans to launch tools to help members track their EDI efforts.

“The business case for taking diversity action is clear. We are firmly committed to equipping our members, regardless of their size, with the tools they need to make meaningful change,” said Eva Karman Reinhold, who chairs Impala’s EDI task force.

Advisor Keith Harris OBE added that he thinks it is “important to continue talking about celebrating success as I firmly believe that is a fundamental part of this process” – especially to combat ‘diversity fatigue’ within the industry.

“Our revised business case highlights that true inclusion goes beyond financial gains and requires authentic action,” added Impala’s executive chair Helen Smith.
