Google recently launched Search Profiles for Creators, a new feature that allows creators to build a public presence directly within Google Search. The feature gives audiences another way to learn more about you outside of traditional social platforms.

Search behavior is different from feed behavior. People search with intent to learn more, revisit content, find recommendations, answer questions, or go deeper into a specific interest. As audiences move across platforms, discovery is no longer happening in one place. Someone might discover you through a Reel, TikTok, podcast clip, or interview, then turn to search when they want additional context.

Google’s Search Profiles give eligible creators a dedicated presence within Search, allowing you to showcase a profile photo, background image, bio, social handles, links and pinned content. It’s essentially a centralized destination where audiences, brands, and potential partners can quickly learn more about you.

This also creates new opportunities for content with a longer shelf life. While social feeds often reward timely or trend-driven content, search tends to reward content that remains relevant over time. Interviews, recommendations, educational content, and FAQs can continue driving discovery long after they’re published.

This comes at the same time as Meta has announced new creator publishing tools, including a content planner and creator studio allowing for creator upgrades to workflow and posting consistency.
